Elegia tectorum 'Fishoek'
Dwarf restios are ideal for suburban gardens. Elegia tectorum (Chodropetalum) 'Fishoek' fits the bill.
15cm pots: R18.10 - less 10% = R16.29
Elegia equistacea
Elegia equisteacea is very similar to E.capensis except that the leaves emerge from one side of the culm only giving the appearance of a horse's tail (hence its species name). The plants are also less tall than E.capensis and more bushy.
4kg bags: R14.70 less 10% = R13.23
Elegia capensis
One of the best known and loved Restios of all: Elegia capensis creates a tropical look while tolerating frost. Fountains of fantastic foliage!
4kg bags: R14.70 less 10% = R13.23
Thamnochortus cinereus
A personal favorite: Silver-tinged Thamnochortus cinereus - once again, a dwarf restio that will fit well into suburban gardens with limited space.
4kg bags: R15.90 less 10% = R14.31
Thamnochortus bachmanii
Thamnochortus bachmannii is another of those rare, dwarf restios that create a neat, compact effect.
4kg bags: R17.30 less 10% = R15.57
Rhus crenata 'Giant'
Rhus crenata 'Giant'
Here's something we're very excited about: just look at the size of the leaves! We find that this selection tends to have darker green foliage, more disease resistance and faster growth than the normal Rhus crenata.
10kg bags: R43.85 less 10% = R39.46
Cussonia spicata
I could positively weep with delight when I see our Kiepersols! Yes, I know, tree-growers are weird! The specimen in the picture is in a 10kg bag.
Cussonia spicata 10kg: R37.80 less 10% = R34.02
Dodonaea viscosa var angustifolia
Dodonaea viscosa var angustifolia, or more simply, the 'Sand Olive' is still one of our fastest growing and prettiest small trees.
10kg bags: R24.50 less 10% = R22.05
Podocarpus latifolius
Our national tree: the handsome Podocarpus latifolius. Don't let anyone fool you that they're slow-growing. When well-looked after, they're actually quite vigorous!
Podocarpus latifolius 10kg: R37.80 less 10% = R34.02
Rhus pendulina
Rhus pendulina - another good choice for suburban gardens.
10kg bags: R37.80 less 10% = R34.02
Gonioma kamassi
The kamassi, Gonioma kamassi, is rapidly growing in popularity, and no wonder. It tends to grow into a neat, upright tree with minimal pruning, has magnificent glossy foliage, is reasonably pest-free and produces marvelous, jasmine-scented flowers in spring.
10kg bags: R37.80 less 10% = R34.02
That's it for now, folks! Wishing you all a super week ahead.
Andrea
