Lachenalia bulbs are here!

Now's your chance to get Lachenalia bulbs! The great thing about dry bulbs is that they're post - friendly: we can just pop them into a parcel and send them anywhere you like! Pics and info follow....

Lachenalia 'Rosabeth'

Here's what Luise says about her lovely Lachenalias:

- all bubs have been graded to flowering size and non-flowering size, price of the flowering ones is R1.25 each and the small ones is R0.40 each (but even the small ones have grown their second year already and some of them might still flower).
- all bulbs have been treated, planting should happen in March, flowering in June/July

Lachenalia 'Romaud'

- all three yellow varieties ('Namakwa', 'Ronina', 'Romaud') flower about 2 to 4 weeks earlier than the red ('Rosabeth') and the purple ('Rupert') variety
Lachenalia 'Rupert'
- planting in a sunny or semi-shady position, ideal for pots, flower beds and rockeries
- well adapted to the Cape climate, have a long dormant period in summer
- thrive if watered and fed regularly during growing season
