Magnificent Scabiosas LOADED with buds in 15cm pots @ R15.35
The Pelargonium 'colourcade' were vexing: just which plant should I photograph? The colour mix is so vibrant, so here are a few pictures instead of just one. 15cm pots @ R15.35. Worthy successors to our spring range of Osteospermums.
There's no denying that these Scadoxus punicius are magnificent, besides being a fabulous choice for the dry shade spots that one battles to find plants for. 15cm pots @ R28.05
It was then that the rot set in, because while I was looking at that, I ALSO saw this:
And this
And this
And this
All of which were too tempting to ignore. So: from the top we have
Scadoxus membranaceus @ R25.25
A wavy fan of Boophane @ R28.05
And the curious Haemanthus albiflos @ R16.60
I dragged myself away from those distractions, and wondered off to snap the 15cm Portulacaria (Spekboom) @ R15.00
Which is when I spotted these:
GIANT Cotyledons. Its a smallish batch, and some lucky soul is likely to snap the whole batch up, so I had to stop and fondle them a bit. 15cm pots @ R19.45.
From there, I could see a haze of white, blue and mauve adorning the Evergreen Bulbs section which I didn't, strictly speaking, have any business in, but did I let that stop me? See for yourself!
Dietes bicolor @ R9.30
Medium-tall White Agapanthus @ R9.30
Dwarf Agapanthus 'Nana Blue' @ R9.30
Agapanthus 'Midnight Blue in 15cm pots @ R13.95
and Variegated Tulbaghia 'Silver Lace' in 15cm pots @ R13.95
Of course, these are all pretty common and popular - but for good reason!
Having allowed myself to become distracted, I recalled my sense of duty and went to photograph the... er... fifth plant.
Tecoma Rocky Horror (TM) in bloom, and about half my height in 10kg bags @ R36.60
After which, I put my blinkers on and headed back to the office to post the 'Top Five' (which was really six) plus distracting others.
I hope you've enjoyed your virtual stroll around the nursery with me as much as I did!
Till next time.
Andrea
